A light meter lets you decide how much light to put in the picture without really messing with the ISO. In the pictures i first got the lighting of the computer so therefore you can't see nothing but the computer screen. In the second picture i put the camera close to her face and then took the picture and it allows you to see pretty much everything around. In the future this can help me by me wanting to take a picture at night and not wanting to use flash but not wanting to mess with the ISO either.
