ISO stands for like instrument of organization and somethin else but the name has nothing to do with it. ISO is the speed that the camera takes in light. For example, on my second picture the ISO was 50 and it is really dark. On my last picture the ISO was 5000 and you can tell because it is too bright. ISO is better than using flash when there is alot of lighting that you would like to capture. If you use flash most of the times you wont even be able to tell the lights are on but with ISO you get the lighting going and it looks awesome. You do have to be careful when you use ISO because if you use too much ISO then your picture will be blury and it wont look too good.
